Club Fitting

We're all different. We can't simply all use the same golf clubs, it's not a cookie cutter situation. Club fitting is unique to each individual. When you buy a new pair of shoes, you don't just grab the blue ones with no regard to the size. If you ware a men's size 10 wide, you wouldn't buy a woman's size 8. As well, when you buy a new coat, you try them on to find the right fit... Golf clubs are the same way. There is only one of you, and you only have one swing, but there are MILLIONS of golf club combinations available to help find the right fit for you.

While I don't have a trove of different manufacturer's club heads and shafts, I do have  several heads and shafts, and as a Mitchell Golf Certified Fitter and Repair Technician, with hundreds of different combinations available, I think we can find the right characteristics for you. In the work shop, I can get your current clubs set up properly for you, and help get you playing better. I believe that a player with golf clubs from the thrift store, that are set up properly for them, can play better than a player of the same ability that spent THOUSANDS of dollars on the newest top brand clubs straight off the shelf that are completely wrong.

What I do, is what I like to call a "bag blueprint". I'll take a few measurements from you, check out your swing, measure and analyze your current equipment to find out if it is setup properly for you. I look at things like length, loft, lie, swing weight, total weight, grip size, and frequency (flex) to see if they are correct for you, and to also determine if there is any anomaly that may be causing you a problem. It's important that all clubs fit the player properly, including your putter. Believe it or not, your putter accounts for more than 40% of your score alone.

When you get in the car to drive, you may have to adjust the seat, and the mirrors... It's the same with golf clubs!  We can ensure that your clubs are setup properly for you.
